Am about to go for the 48th CLT course conducted by HQ NCC conducted from the 25th of Nov to 15th Dec.That is 3 days after my last O'level paper on the 22th of Nov.But I have a job assignment by my company on 26-27th of Nov,at Sitex IT Exhibition.
I have always wanted to go for the course,but I need the $$ now.Am really trapped as I haf promised my company I will go work liaoz.Do you think i should ask for a day off on the Friday(26th of Nov) or just tell my company that I cannot make it.

CLT course.. not all can make it..

I know not all can make it.But I have the utter confidence of passing out from it.I go for it to fight for a Course Best or Platoon Best award.But getting the award or not is an unsure thing.If I go work right,I am at least very certain of getting the $500++ in my pocket liaoz.How....haiz..........

what a dilemma. if i were u i'll go for the course. but come to think of it $500 is no small sum either.
is there any way to excuse yourself from the course on 26-27th so that u can go for your job assignment and return to the course on the 28th? -
Trust me on this, go for the course.
I am working now, believe me I am already regretting not participating in school ECAs and all the fun stuff in school.
And when you finally get out to work, you are working for the rest of your life. Believe me, you will miss your school life and start to regret (like me) of not doing the stuff when you have the chance to do it.

have a pool of money with your friends, like each person contribute 10 dollars to be given to the recruit best. then chiong all the way to get the recruit best. then maybe you could recoup some of the money.
but cca is still a better option in my opinion. money, you can always earn again. but the experiences which you will get, you can never replicate. -

I know that.But there is another course in June 2005.Before Poly starts.I connfirm I wanna go Poly one lorz.Haiz...I dunnoe lehz......My mind tells me to go work at Sitex,but my heart says that CLT course is more important.

still got 49th batch next year june.
The choice is yours. If you really want to be a CLT then go, money, if you not short of them, then go for the course and after pass out then go and work. -
think long-term rather than short term. is the salary that you earn from the job a "need" or is it a "nice"? if it's a nice then i say you go for the course, then at least you may have an advantage in the army and be promoted faster or whatever, which results in a higher pay. however if you need the cash due to whatever reason it may be then i suggest you have to compromise the course and go work to solve your problem.

I need the $$ urgently...as I promise to pay my dad for my entire year of Maths tuition.And I gotta save up for my Polytechnic fees next yr and things like a laptop etc.Am really troubled by it mates...
