Exit Permit: Overseas, NS Disruption, so No ICT Reservist?

  seems like no one in my camp could give me a definitive answer. they all say depends on how influential is your company.
  
  i won't even be working in a local company. going overseas to study, directly entering an animation studio over there after grad.

  Apply for exit permit.
  
  If Exit permit is more than a year, you should be considered as disrupted and will not be called up for reservist duties. But SAF being SAF will have screws-up from time to time. If called up, quote exit permit and apply for deferment/exemption.

  Wat if I'm going to study for 3 years, come back for 1 year, and go back to study for another 5 years?

  ofcuz you have to inform the SAF first before you go oversea...

  If you are going to work or study overseas, and this can be proved via a company letter or letter from a recognised school, you would then present this letter to CMPB exit permit office, and get an exit permit that would allow you to be away from Singapore and be disrupted from reservist duties.
  
  I have been away since 1995 on an exit permit as I have been working all these years abroad.

  If at any time, you come back to Singapore for more than 30 days, you are required to cancel the exit permit and apply for a new one when you leave.
