ncc no knock it down liaos.. commandant sae de.. but we also heck care la also knock..
aniwae i was part A PS... so erms... they new ma.. so fren fren wif them lo.. now also veh good frens.. i tink boost morale... do smth tt will touch their hearts lo... for eg. i wrote a note for all of them.. a small different message to every1 of them... encouraging them... wad they had done good.. jia you jia you lidat lo. den i attach a platoon photo of all of us... it worked lo.... now they love me 2 bits... =P
erms.. 4 wad u saed bout the N(T) students... i haf to agree wif u. they.. like to create trouble can i sae. put it this way.. they haf short attention span... very fast will sian le. den will tok tok.. move move.. tok back etc. on the other hand.. i haf seen express/special students that are very slow to learn... makes u wonder is they stupid? or they jus dun care? or they wan2 make u angry purposely. this is life... jus got 2 deal wif them.. in fact i'm happy tt my cca gaf me tis opportunities... learnt alot... -
If you everytime face black black go training, your platoon see you also will not be happy. During training can be strict with them but after training, don't always keep your distance away from them. Make yourself approachable a little and when they really have problems, they will come and tell you.
As for NT students, I can't say they are slower in learning. I think it is just that they prefer a little less discipline. But if you friend friend with them, they do things can do very good one

in my case...with proper motivation i had NT students do a damned good job...they may not be good in studies...but they're pretty good in the NCC....it depends on ure working relationship....just keep in mind that u see them 5 days a week in school.....making NT students hate u is not a good thing to do.....Originally posted by 01024G:If you everytime face black black go training, your platoon see you also will not be happy. Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivation.
Is punishment a motivation...some thinks so...by using the threat of punishment to push the soldiers to take their M16 to charge up the hill, etc.
Fundamentally, most pple dun see imminent war, even if the doctrine that war is unfathomable, unpredictable of its occurrence, we must be prepared for it.
But day to day, under the strong sunlight, charging up the hill to the happiness of the commanders who sip 7-up when u r charging up is never near the whole idea of intrinsic motivation which is acclaimed to be the way to go.

i guess so...there was one instance of area cleaning a long time ago when i was in school...parade ground littered with fallen leaves...flower pots not arranged properly...being an NCO doesnt mean ordering them around...most of the time u have to show them how to do it....i had to find brooms...showed them how to sweep the floor....where to throw all the litter.,...and showed them how i wanted the flower pot arrangement.... it may look like u are acting like a servant...but it gets the job done...and shows them ure willingness to work with them,...Originally posted by sgboy2004:Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivation.

Their development is slower, other than that being reflected in their acadamic ability it also reflects their attitude , 'bo chap' especially in uniform groups. proportion of them higher then in other streams...If 3 quarters of a sq or platoon are made up of NT students, can really see the difference compared to a sq with normal makeup of streams.Originally posted by wuming78:whats the logic behind this statement? anyway i know you have nothing against the normal tech kids. -
