I heard of a cadet, think in 47/02 who kenna charged then OOCed in pro term cos he got completely boozed out and couldn't be awakened the next day and it happened during Ex. Starlight in ROC... Anyone familiar with the incident?
There were also several other incidents which happened, like setting an old container on fire -

anyway if im not mistaken, its quite rare for cadets to go OOC for things like misfiring or misplacing weapon. seems like there is some kind of a dearth of cadets nowadays.

Oh no, what a pity... Well i was also one of those who had to keep taking and taking cos i belong to the cannot-run type. Anyway, Pro term cadets can OOC when they get their 2nd CROW, or just do not make it in terms of performance(be it SEOC or overall perfomance)
I guess it will be one of the worse thing to accidentally ND a 2nd time during their PAC, and get OOC-ed
In ST1 it was the same thing also, keep taking IPPT every week cos 2.4 can never break the 10min barrier...
Anyway anyone from Sierra will prob have heard of this legendary guy called Tobias who happened to be from my platoon.. he completed SOC in 6:30min, while i was still struggling to meet the 9:30 timing...
Needless to say, he also got the SOH for artillery. -

You mean they went drinking during the topo excericse ? i'm wasn't too sure of the SOC timing in OCS, different Wings had different timing, i know standard passing timing is 9.30 min. My PC made those that ran more than 8min to retake tests.
i think it really depends where u run the SOC back in OCS, those that ran down from the Medical Center into the 3rd Division's SOC will find it relatively easy due to the downsloap, but the one at Pasir Laba, where all the cadets are bounded to get the 7-11 deal *sigh* Thats hell -

he said after the commissioning parade, got a dinner and dance or something like that... then there were these 2 newly com'ed officers who used their swords to engaged in a mock fight...
needless to say, they were decommissioned after that. -

It depends on the Wing Comds idea of tough training, i know Serria Wing and Alpha Wing cadets used to coduct 3 full run downs, than removing parts of their SBO like webbing and rifle to run 1 more run down followed by 4 round abts the SOC ground, to top it up, the commanders will force march the cadets back to wingline ...
don't noe if the SOC timing been broken yet, but COL Lo still holds the record of completing SOC is 5.55... -
