Queries on claims on long MC....

Hi I would like to know whether if one is on long MC, then he can buy anything from any shops for $15 and when he returns to camp then he can claims back the money by producing the receipt? Thanks for answering my queries.

For example if you are on MC for more than a week because of various reasons, your unit should send someone to your home and visit you with hampers but if your unit did not send someone to your home to visit you (hence no hampers), then they will ask you to go any shops to buy any things you like on a particular day and when you return to your unit and show your them your receipt you can claim back at most $15........Originally posted by LazerLordz:I'm afraid I don't get what you mean...Please enlighten? -

in any case, i don't think you are entitled to a gift for just one week of MC. i was given MC for 18 days before and didnt get nuts. you are only entitled to something if you are hospitalised (i think).
and if your S1 is slack and failed to ensure you received what you should, you would either have to suck thumb or complain to your boss. -

during my BMT, i was hospitalize for an operation and got 12 days of MC. during my stay at the hospital and my recuperation at home, no one from my company come and visit. not even a hamper.

well, i think i'm the only one hospitalize in my platoon during my BMT period. i understand if they're too busy and all. but a "get well soon" card would have been nice.
