Catergories of weather in TEKONG

Can anybody tell me the different catergories of weather in TEKONG? I only know CAT 1 is raining. How about others?

I don't remember anything about tekong
There are 5 Categories of Lightining risk.
Cat 1 = highest risk (Personnel to stay indoors)
down to...
Cat 5 = no lightning risk
You can't do anything once it is Cat 1. You can carry on from Cat 2 onwards.
If I'm not wrong, Cat 1 is when lightning is less than 6km away from you. -
Today when I was on my way to the ferry terminal i heard a a siren.. quite funny.. it was a combination of CAT 1 and NORMAL weather.. Then it announce HIGH ALERT... HIGH ALERT... HIGH ALERT... Got quite a shock...

I thot Tekong weather had only 2 classifications... at least during my recruit days !
It was either "raining and muddy".
or " hot , dry and damned thirsty".
We used to joke that there were only 2 weather systems in Tekong. These were the two. -
L = Lousy
B = Bad
F = Fcuked up

Not only in Tekong, it applies to some other camps like 2PDF also.......

Cat 1 juz refer to lightning risk meh?
i tot Cat 1 mean 'inclement weather' - which include high lightning risk, extreme heat, serious haze... any weather condition when training outdoors poses serious risks

I havent heard of a CAT 1 siren due to heat.
Usually they just ask you to drink more water. -

The only ones I remember are Cat 1 (my favourite! ), Heat Alert and Normal Weather... and they all sound really funny when spoken over the 'loudspeakers' across the camp...

If I am not wrong, the category status applies to the lightning risk in that particular sector in question. Singapore is divided into many sectors, and each sector can have a particular status at any time, the most common being:
CAT status clear: Negligible lightning risk
CAT 1: Lightning detected within 1 km radius of sector
CAT 2: Lightning detected within 2 km radius of sector
Rarely used:
CAT 3: Lightning detected within 5 km radius of sector
CAT 4: Lightning detected within 8 km (unsure about that) radius of sector
Till now, I have not heard of any CAT 5, but there could be. -

Before i enlisted my friends tell me that the temperature in Tekong is about 1 degree higher as compared to mainland Singapore. I went there myself and found that out to be true,this is especially true in the reclaimed land area. Anyone got similar experiences?

My sit test have CAT 1 ... light rain ... windy ...
