in any case, in my opinion, soldiers in higher command positions, and those who are likely to handle sensitive information during ops, should be given a go at the course. but before that, the objectives must be clear, and the course must be tailored, or customised if need be, so as to achieve the necessary objectives. -

Anyway, on a lighter note, armor is very tedious...
and it will deal with most of the "combat" frontline damage i think...IF a tiny tiny a 0.000000000000000000001 percent chances of a conflict breaking out..

well...it would be advisable to aim to be an officer....
specialist aint too bad either...but if u can...be an officer....
i believe if u want to be an officer...signing up on the scheme makes it hard to be one...u really gotta fight(not in the man to man sense) to crossover during SISPEC....so just go thru poly...and get enlisted to NS as normal...and sign on after BMT...
Infantry...is the biggest arm of the SAF....well....it all depends on how hard u want it...i know most people would tell u to go Guards and CDO..its really ure own preference....get as much information about them..
anywaes...dont let old people like parents or relatives to tell u off becos u r a malay...trust me..i know the feeling...dont ever feel sorry for ureself...
anywaes...now...a sensible thing for u to do is to get a GOLD in ure NAPFA....its the magic ticket of wonders should u get posted to anywhere else but the Army for ure NS....people from the ARC(Army Recruitment Centre) would entertain Gold Applicants.....Silver NAPFA holders get entertained too...but to be safe....Gold is the Napfa award u need to be gunning for...
Dont even think of failing or getting a Bronze...
oh yuh...remember...get ure diploma first......or a levels....either one... -

im gona take my N levels on 2005 so..if i fail i will take the SISS scheme
if i get to go O levels and get 2 go 2 poly i will take the jpsds

as for ure last question...i'm in no position to answer that.....just dont get disheartened stay positive everytime.......
the more SAF gets solid malay soldiers...i believe the better the chances for future malays who have aspirations to sign on.....

snipers, cdo and all recce elements will have to go thru the cst which the pow treatment is part of it.... btw nsf do go thru it as long as u belongs to the listed vocations...
