then my Sir got tell us that we r the last batch to have SITest in BMT.
from next batch onwards (dec/jan batch)
those guys going to tekong for bmt
u all will complete ur bmt there,
then those who has a-lvl cert or poly diploma will proceed on to sispec
(yes, every1 will go sispec)
then from sispec, they will choose who to go OCS. -

Nope.3SG rank is only conferred on those who pass a leadership/commander or specialised technical course.I think they will go SISPEC for evaluation, then posted to their different voctions.Sounds like Infantry just got themselves a buffet spread and first priority over trainees.BLC(Basic Leadership Course) will determine who will go on to BSLC and ASLC, so I've heard.

Just imagine recruits will be shifting from BMTC to SISPEC just for this BLC then the majority will probably be moving out again to their respective units after BLC... logistical nightmare.. -

seriously, no logistical nightmare wat. at this moment, after they pop, they just transfer their barang barang to SISPEC (Tekong). The headache only come after SISPEC moved permantly to PLC. -

I got my 3SG without going through SISPEC.
Even though I would very much like to go OCS.

BMT is no longer a course but a compulsory phase people should go thru.
That's why everyone must go SISPEC for further evaluation on leadership skills, etc. What worries me most is that it will no longer be NSmen officers doing the evaluation but a bunch of SAFEC 3SGs. (correct me if i am wrong) -

Either SAF NSF 3SGs or SAF NSF OFF will definately screw the system up. Anyway during my SIT TEST, some of the NSmen Officers cant even do a simple TOPO. actually lost themselves in the SIT TEST training field. -

but our training all these, the planning all quite swee swee
all the WOs plan things not bad
rarely will things cock up during training
then if things cock up, normally is recruit's fault
but 1 thing to note abt WOs,
they r quite stubborn...

if examples are to be followed...
its best to learn them from a warrant...
in real situations...its not how u react to situation...its how u adapt to a situation....
