Anyone knows the chances of the successful application of stay out?

Kranji Camp is a Armour camp. u didn't mention what vocation u are posted to do.
i don't understand why so many of u are talking about application for staying out. it depends on your vocation. if it require u to stay in then too bad, what make u think that they will approve your application for staying out if others have to stay in? -

Oh ok. Cos I have some personal reasons but I considering whether to sound off or not. -
should be stay out if i'm not wrong for your vocation. somemore u need to attend a dental course for a few months, course will definately need to stay in.

Change of vocation not possible rite? -
whether one is required to stay-in depends on the requirements of his vocation - whether there is training / ops daily, whether there are certain considerations for one to stay out, etc. hence e.g. clerks are not required to stay in, while an infantry soldier will normally have to due to daily trg or ops functions. i am not sure what a dental assistant does, although it certainly doesnt sound like a cheong sua type of vocation to me, and i also think that since the medical centre has a closing hour it may not be necessary for all the medics and dental assistants to be around all the time. i may be wrong though. if you have good reasons you may wish to speak to your immediate superior. that would be the best move.Originally posted by kitoshizc:Dental Assistant..

Your vocation doesn't determine wether you stay-in or not... Although dental clinic dont open after office hours, its depends on your unit commander approval to allow you ppl to stayout if not necessary...
and if you cannot tahan that few months of the god damn dental trg by thinking of change vocation, good luck to you if you kena something more terok than what you been assigned to now.
dental asst. is a god damn bloody good deal already... guniang! 
If you think that your medical condition cannot stay-in like the others...(I dunno why or what god damn reason, fag! ) get the medical officer to certify it, looser! -

2)Yup some personel can book out which saf name it as "nights off" but book in by 2359. -

tell u something, where ever they post u to, the posting letter will always say "bring along your duffle bag / field pack complete with the SAF issued items" bah bah eventhough one might not be needing it. -

not being harsh here, but well, it is ns, and if everything is gonna be a bed of roses, then you won't feel much about the 2-yr experience right? do we remember the toughest times we have been through, or the happiest moments we have enjoyed? chances are its the former.
what happened to mental resiliency and strength? -

I remembered when I got posted to a Guards unit - and I didn't know what a Guards unit was. It was one hell of a wake-up call, especially during the Guards course - everyday there were surprises. But it was something good - it has help me think on my feet and really change my life. -
1st Guards Bn and 3rd Guard Bn which camp?
