Here's some updates on the future of the engineers as revealed by CEO COL Teo on the 38th Engineers' anniversary on 7th April.
Construction Engineer Core Group (CECG) is formed. SOCE and DETC will be merged to form the Engineer Training Institute (ETI). EOD soldiers will get a higher combat allowance. A new engineer vehicle, the Mine Clearing Vehicle (MCV) is comissioned by COA.

LCP : up to O levels
CPL: A levels, poly
Scope of pioneer depends on unit one... -
Actually there's AETC (Armored Engineer Training Centre) where they house the one and only AEC (Armoured Engineer Company). No they do not belong to Armour... I'm the first ever PC in it hah...
Organic Combat Engineers in Infantry units are called Pioneers. (Also in Armour units on 2nd tot). They perform basic Engineer tasks like Wire Obstacles (Triple-Con, 4-coil, 10-coil, Tangle foot...), Mine Clusters, and clearing of the same obstacles. Some lucky souls will also be required to build Battalion Command Post (BCP) ^^
Combat Engineers siong is siong la, but once tasks finished, quite relaxed actually. Esprit de corp is of paramount importance for Engineers... Just enjoy the time together, work hard play hard -
