Yes, but you require your parents consent.

Think it violates the UN Convention on The Rights Of The Child.Singapore didn't ratify it, knowing that it might pose some problems in these grey areas.

so a'level or diploma got betta prospects...
i have a fren hu is 22 years old, in my tutorial group in poly now.. year 1..
a few years back, he drop out of his diploma course to transfer to another course when he was year 2... he was successful in doing so, but have to serve NS first... he ended up as a driver, LCP.... btw he is a Team Singapore Bowler...

Not sure about now, but the reasons why some ppl opt to go NS a few years back is:
They serve only 2 years instead of 2 1/2 years.
They can all those non-strenguous vocations.
They can proceed directly to U after JC. -

my course had a guy drop out poly, so consider O level only.
they say he will still skip lcp to become a cpl, though whether or not will go sgt not very sure. -
so young go inside later let the people inside scold a bit can't take it go sucide. better wait until you mature enough first...

I presume the minimum age for early enlistment is 16.5 years old. That's the policy for NS registration (& the pre-enlistment checkup), & it's doubtful how anyone can get drafted before he's even called up to officially register as a conscript.
