nope, all pes a n b bmt recruits undergo BIC, battle inculation course. the location of BIC is behind SISPEC, it is part of the bmt training timetable, not to determine where u end up after u pass out.Originally posted by LazerLordz:All combat fit PES A and B traineess with leadership potential should be going to SISPEC for evaluation if I'm not wrong.Something called BLC.There they will determine which combat arm you ill end up in.Anyone can confirm this?
u see less of theseOriginally posted by dumbdumb!:no more SIT tests? is that a good thing or a bad thing?
of course good lah. no more 3 days of out-field consisting of route marching every morning before test plus leopard crawl and artillery-contacted running here and there.Originally posted by dumbdumb!:no more SIT tests? is that a good thing or a bad thing?
oh.. does that mean they have started the system of channeling all privates who have passed out from BMT to SISPEC for BLC, and no longer directly to OCS?Originally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:There's no more BSLC, the 44th being the last I think. The BLC, taken in SISPEC, will determine if you go on to OCS or support arms spec, and then of course, there's still ASLC...
canot remember liao. anyway our roles are always rotated rite?Originally posted by Gordonator:what vocation did u guys play during your SIT test?
i play a medic. which was handed to me because i was the last person on the detail, all the good "roles" taken by other liao.
i think beside the LAW gunner, the medic got to be the 2nd most siong role to play. have to carry that heavy sketcher.![]()
in my case the roles are not rotated.Originally posted by wuming78:canot remember liao. anyway our roles are always rotated rite?
and also, LAW gunner not siong mah. i liked to be the LAW gunner when i was in OCS.![]()
and mabbe by the time we get to OCS we are quite conditioned and have a reasonable level of combat fitness to handle the weight of the dummy LAW tube.Originally posted by Gordonator:in my case the roles are not rotated.i wish it was.
anyway being a LAW gunner in OCS is different as being a LAW gunner in BMT SIT test. cos OCS have GPMG gunner, the PC runner carrying the heavy communication set right? all very heavy.
whereas in SIT test the other roles carry very little things like walkie talkie for signaller, map for navigator, bayonet for minesweeper. all not very heavy compared to LAW gunner and medic right?![]()
that's me. playing the medic role that nobody wants.Originally posted by fudgester:If you want to be siao-on, be the medic or LAW gunner. Guaranteed happening experience. I became a LAW gunner, not because I was siao-on, but because I was one of the last few to choose a role.
Try doing leopard crawl with the LAW/stretcher on your back.
Try to suddenly prone down from a standing position with the LAW/stretcher loosely slung across your back.
Guaranteed happening experience. If no curses or profanities have ever escaped your mouth before, you will surely start doing so.
I'm a LAW gunner...Originally posted by Gordonator:what vocation did u guys play during your SIT test?

1 Law gunnerOriginally posted by SpecOps87:Can anyone share what roles are there? How do they judge if you get into OCS?
You forgot claymore.Originally posted by Gordonator:1 Law gunner

1 Navigator
1 Signaller
1 Eemolisher

the rest i forget liao. the conducting officer which judge each role equally, don't worry. do your best, but don't wayang, the officer and your team mates can see 1.
