i think being on and eager is quite different from being wayang and esp. trying to sakar the instructors. of course, being on and eager, you probably wanna make sure you are equally on and eager when it comes to helping your peers and doing sai kang, and ESPECIALLY when there are no instructors around. if you are only on the ball when the sergeants are around, or you are deemed uncooperative and unhelpful, then you will really be branded a wayang-king.Originally posted by SpecOps87:True.But I mean will being enthu and positive be mistaken as an attempt to wayang by your peers?Am worried bout that man.esp. since I'm so into Military stuff. -
What makes you think you're good enough? If you can't even be yourself. If others think you are wayang, you are not good enough then. Others will see you for what you are. You may not see it but others may have a clearer eye. They know if you are truly there to help them. Your self-concern is belieing your confidence. Efface yourself.

everytime before we begin a mission during SIT test, the sergeant will purposely make us walk a long way even though the station is right in fornt of us. or make us do leopard crawl or arti run to the destinations.
it's like they testing us on our ability to think and plan under stress and exhaustion.

Actually to me right,I don't really think of what others do or think.Wat matters most is that when I'm assigned a job,I will do it.And I will do it well.So even if they back-stab or wat,I still have the results to prove myself.And also,sometimes people do things outta jealousy.
Anyway,what more should I know bout the SIT test?What missions are u supposed to do anyway? -

from my experience, in order for a recruit to showcase his leadership during SIT test, his men must also be on. cos this is all about teamwork afterall.
i remember last time in my detail there's this bochup recruit who don't seem to be interested in anything we are doing. everytime during mission breifing and such, i see him playing with the grass etc.
can u imagine if everybody in the detail is like him, how to showcase leadership capabilities if your men are bochup and ends up u fail the mission cos they are not putting effort in what they do?

aiyoh, how come always got pple ask qns about SIT test??
in my opinion, you don't need to know so much lah. the more you know, the more you'll wayang. then when you go sispec/ocs, you'll suffer when you are put into the boots of a leader.
juz go enjoy lah, don't worry so much. it's like a fun camp at tekong's serene reclaimed land. furthermore, nowadays corporal pay already so high liao, why become an officer/spec and take more extras than your men?
btw, i feel that those SIT test missions are really quite fun
some i can recall incl.
1) destroy a bridge
2) cross a river
3) contacting sniper
4) casevac casualty and many more... -

a sgt is getting 200 more than us. we are the one doing all those sai kang while they're always the one taking offs.

hey friend, maybe your sgts are like that
but when i ask my men to do work, i normally work with them. If any screwup during exercise, my PC and us sect comds take responsibility for them okay...
and we also take extra extras for them
maybe you juz suay that your specs are NATO lah
anyway, i 3sgt ORD pay only $435 leh
cannot compare $$ one lah. last generation lagi worse pay
