CCA: NCC Badges

hi,
most of the time i see those NCC kids with lots of metal badges on their no.4. can anyone tell me what are the various NCC badges? and what must they do to earn it.

some are specialist badges, napfa fitness badge, swimming badge, taekwondo badge, some got civil defence bage( i got it last time)....and many more...
must show pics first lah...cos like tat quite difficult to remember all

you can go to http://www.ncc.org.sg and go to the "the corps" then "General information" then "the cadet" then the "badges" and you will get to see all the badges plus the requirements to earn them ;Originally posted by Gordonator:hi,

the base 4, for fitness, swimming, proficiency and orienteering.
the fitness one, depends on what u got for your Nafa. theres bronze, silver n gold.
swimming, u have to pass a swimming test.
proficiency, u have to go thru a profi test that includes arms drill and technical handling, i think.
orienteering, u need to pass an orienteering test, which basically involves map reading and running to check points within a time limit.
thats what i remember from my time in NCC over 5 years ago. dunno if the info is still current or not. -

Selection is based on ur NAPFA items and your height and weight.

although the camp is old, it has this rustic feeling to it and posted to there is better than being posted to some camp with crabs and stars all around... i will never forget my time there.... -

ich verstehe nicht. ich spreche nur ein bisschen deutsche, ich lerne deutsch fur drei months. meine deutsch ist nicht sehr gut.

Now no more swimming, adventure and canoeing badge (replaced by kayaking) for air units, others I don't know. From last year Phase 2 onwards, HQ never give no.4 spec badge to those who passed out liao. Don't know if there is anymore changes... I out, out and AWAY!
