  ask u all. is ORD FFI compulsory? must one book it himself or will they send u a letter telling u to go to a certain camp's medical centre and take the FFI?

  Yah, its necessary. u need to hand in the FFI form to get your pink IC. Plus must fill in some other paperwork/clearance forms.
  
  For my experience, i had to book it myself. I had to go to Selarang to do my FFI b'cos my camp's medical centre not equipped for dental check. Called up Selarang's MC to book appointment. The medics there knew the procedure.
  It was all OTOT, did it a couple of months before ORD.
  
  But i not from Army, so i dunno if yur procedure will be the same
  
  For yur case, since medical corp already located at yur camp, can juz do it there i guess.

  thanks for the answers. but let say this bugger didn't take his FFI and his ORD is next week. why will happen to him? can he just book his FFI at the last minute?

  Not that I know of man..Even my FFI is pretty late compared to my ORD.I'm going down to NSC on Monday.

  well. one can only get back his pink IC when the S1 branch is satisfied that he is cleared by all the relevant departments, including the medical centre. this means that it is in the interest of the serviceman himself to arrange for an FFI as early as possible so that he can ORD without delay.
  
  of course one can safely say that his ORD date will not be affected even if he fails to complete his FFI - he will have to make an urgent appointment for it. but that does not mean that his superiors cannot make his life difficult for whatever remaining time he has with them.

  any ideas when is the earliest one can go for his FFI? for example, i will be ORDing in OCT, when is the earliest u all think i can go?
