hi..going for a 3 day briefing at Pasir Ris camp in Apr 2005. any idea what kind of camp this is? a lot of my NS frens not heard of this camp before. Understand its new? any know what kind of camp is this?

That's where my brigade is.... 10 SIB. Nope, this isn't classified information.
Anyway, the place is bloody ulu. No direct public bus to the place. Even many taxi drivers don't know the place too well. When I had to return to that camp for reservist, I had to show my taxi driver dad a map leading to the camp. Pretty amazing considering that he's been driving taxis for 10 years ++..... Of course, the camp itself has been around for only a few years.... Still quite new.... -
its at pasir ris, near where all the pet farms are.

the Spec Mess and Officer's Mess are pretty gd places. the toliets and showering areas are similar to modern day swimming pools with nice blue tilings, fans , similar to those SAFRA clubs.
got to agree with ppl, its a dame ulu camp, god knows why still no buses last time.nearest shopping center, Pasir Ris Town.
The camp is a pretty quiet camp really nothing much, unless 3 and 6 SIR are holding soccer matches that turned soured 2 yrs back -

i cycled to pasir ris camp before. even on bike, i find the distance long... what do u think... haha

MPX? Dunno. I do know CPX stands for Command Post Exercise, which usually entails some form of ops group training without the involvment of the unit main body. But 3 days' worth of "briefing"? ~lol~
10 SIB, if you're with them, happens to be a brigade-level unit - maybe some wargaming?
Alphabetically-speaking, Ex Malapura is also being conducted as of now (except it's supposed to involve only the RSN).
BTW "MPX" is also an aconymn for "Multiplex". Do these suggestions ring any bell? -

IF its mapex, then be prepared to draw alot of overlays....!!!!!
Unless they are gg high-tech. Errm no..even so you still need to draw overlays.

The main use will be for new CDO camp. Oso call SOT or something like this. Maybe going for ICT there.
