that guy better be an NSF, and not a regular, knn walk out of his commissiong parade...fxxk ..no pride....absolutely deserves to be decomissioned.Originally posted by relackjack:anyway my friend was one of those who fainted. he got 21 extras i heard. the air force guy who walked out got 28. i think the air force guy absolutely deserves it. i think he was sleeping then he fell cos he immediately recovered from what my instructors said. then when the medic came at first he refused to fall out but i think too embarrassed to carry on so he walked out. my instructors were absolutely disgusted. for my own two cents worth, i think he deserved his extras. absolutely no pride man.
in fact i got two friends who fainted. one from combat engineers. he is the SOH and one from foxtrot.
i think all of them really deserved their punishment, including my friend. if they cant take care of themselves and prepare themselves sufficiently for their own parade, how can they be expected to take care of their men in future?
ten months of training is even more xiong than the parade itself. anyway if officers can fall out, what do they expect of their men?? we dunt expect more of our men than what we expect of ourselves.
this is especially true of the air force guy who walked out. everyone in the stands was laughing at him.
He has to accountable for all the live rounds during the duty, sign this check that etc etc..True enough, less physically exerting compared to being a guard/sentry but then, he has to be more alert and be ready to make decisions should there be any irregularities... (e.g. Intruder attempting to tear down the gates..)Originally posted by Gordonator:if they sign extras, they will serve their extras in their new unit as an officer right?
anyway officers' duties is also quite relaxing. do duty officer come down guardhouse see see look look. not so bad right as compared to doing guard duty as a cadet?![]()
He airforce not?Originally posted by one-niner:that guy better be an NSF, and not a regular, knn walk out of his commissiong parade...fxxk ..no pride....absolutely deserves to be decomissioned.
Depends on camp ba...Originally posted by CKtalon:Isn't a WO's duty just to stand at the entrance of the camp in the morning and see that the traffic flow into the camp is done smoothly?
And like few WOs actually bother doing it..at most like go down look look see see and then leave..![]()
that reminds me of the Pasir Leba RSM, one hell of figure, catching everyone in the morning who walk past his gatesOriginally posted by CKtalon:Isn't a WO's duty just to stand at the entrance of the camp in the morning and see that the traffic flow into the camp is done smoothly?

hm.. getting 21 extras for fainting is actually quite.. well... dunno how to say. should he be blamed? i guess only he knows. as for someone who falls asleep, i must say that is rather amazing. although i have fell asleep standing on the mrt, this is a freaking commissioning parade!!! i think he deserves not to be commissioned at all (unless he has a very good reason for falling asleep)Originally posted by relackjack:anyway my friend was one of those who fainted. he got 21 extras i heard. the air force guy who walked out got 28. i think the air force guy absolutely deserves it. i think he was sleeping then he fell cos he immediately recovered from what my instructors said. then when the medic came at first he refused to fall out but i think too embarrassed to carry on so he walked out. my instructors were absolutely disgusted. for my own two cents worth, i think he deserved his extras. absolutely no pride man.

absolutely - even though you physically do less as you rise up your ranks, you shoulder more responsibility, meaning to say if someone under your charge makes a mistake, you will have to bear the brunt too even though it may be of no mistake on your part. a DO is the highest ranking personnel in camp after office hours (assuming all other officers have gone home). so you can imagine how much responsibility he has to shoulder.Originally posted by Kaczynski:He has to accountable for all the live rounds during the duty, sign this check that etc etc..True enough, less physically exerting compared to being a guard/sentry but then, he has to be more alert and be ready to make decisions should there be any irregularities... With the greater rank, comes greater responsibility...
P.S. I am not an officer, but this is how i see it when i compare what he does and what we do..Cos I saw a DO kanna extra for missing a signature somewhere..
alrite! which batch was he from? i shall send out my feelers to hunt him down!Originally posted by deathscythe99:He airforce not?
More probably....he's a regular.
Though we cant be sure. Gotta snoop and ask ard.![]()
Maybe airforce OCC wasn't tough enough, so he didn't feel much pride to be commissionedI can tell you that the ADA pro term is no joke. Imagine carrying a 8 kg missle around on your back.
He SOH? omg! did the level of SOH drop?Originally posted by relackjack:oops.make a mistake.he is from navy, but it's still quite terrible to walk out. the audience in the stands were making so much noise and i can see all the officers shaking their head.
actually i really quite pity my friend who fainted (the one from combat engineer). i saw him before the parade and he was already darn concussed. he fell in in an entirely different contigent twice. asked him whether he is alright but i think maybe because he is the SOH so he doesn't want to fall out.
why before the parade concusse ?? went clubbing the night before right ?Originally posted by relackjack:oops.make a mistake.he is from navy, but it's still quite terrible to walk out. the audience in the stands were making so much noise and i can see all the officers shaking their head.

they should make the cadets stay in the night before the parade. and water parade them before lightout @ 2200.Originally posted by one-niner:why before the parade concusse ?? went clubbing the night before right ?
