these persons were chosen for the interviews purely on the basis of their physical employment status, perhaps napfa results and some other familial factors. that is so that they do not censor off potential candidates too soon. whether they eventually pass the selection would be secondary.Originally posted by bismarck:oh yes..now wuming has reminded me..

Doesn't really matter what you tell them - they'll make their own decisions anyway.Originally posted by Pablo:Make sure you tell them that you've been dying to join the elite forces of SAF.![]()
lol..yuh...they want hardcore people...Originally posted by Gedanken:Doesn't really matter what you tell them - they'll make their own decisions anyway.
I didn't really want to go, so I tried to do as poorly in the interview as I possibly could. When the sargeant asked me if I wanted to go to CDO, I asked him if I had a choice. When he said no, I said, "So what the f*** are you asking me for?". The next week I got a letter saying I was going to CDO, and THEN I found out that my attitude was exactly what they were looking for. Go figure.

*salute*! life as a marked man in cdo is not fun at all. the trainers will always notice u even when u try to be inconspicuos. all the sai kang r thrown at u. u find urself being an ic frequently and whenever u r ic, ridiculous things will happen to the platoon.Originally posted by Gedanken:Yeah, well, I suppose that's why I was a marked man for the first six weeks of BMT. After that, I had a quiet chat with my section commander, and said that there was obviously something wrong that I was doing, but damned if I could figure out what that was. He mumbled some answer and left, but he left me alone after that.
Anyway, it's all good. Gutted it out, got the beret, lived happily ever after.
