Mowbray camp is now the KINS camp...i think MPs now train at Clementi camp..Originally posted by trafox10:Well, after your BMT , you would go through ur specialist training at SISPEC.
After that u will come back to mowbray camp for SPEC 2 course for 3 months.
Upon completing it, you will be a sgt in the unit. You can be posted to companies like Secret Investigation Branch, Security Branch, Dog Unit, Mindef..If u kena Active Provost company, good luck to u! coz it's the most xiong company even though u are a specialist. Life in MP as a regular is not bad, only it gets very monotonous...my sgt who's a regular in there actually regretted signing on MP becoz of that. The regulars there are 8-5..actually almost everyone there go home at 5, unless you are doing duty or u are still a trainee in the camp.
sispec got 2 courses..Originally posted by pebb:i see, so the spec course training is 3 mths, tot is 6 weeks. That means after the training and become sergent, straightaway 8-5?
Ya it gets kind of mono...
thanks for the info man~
Mowbray camp is now the KINS camp...i think MPs now train at Clementi camp..Mowbray camp is not a KINS camp... Mowbray camp still train normal MPs as usual... some of the trainees after going thru the Basic MP course will be posted to the KINS camp for further training.
i see, so the spec course training is 3 mths, tot is 6 weeks. That means after the training and become sergent, straightaway 8-5?Not necessary immediately is 8-5. depends on which company u go to... if u go to Active Provost Comapny(APC) u need to fulfill certain criteria b4 u get to stay out.
ouh...just that there is a big KINS sign outside and it seems to be manned by the SPF...Originally posted by yuehsiang:Not necessary immediately is 8-5. depends on which company u go to... if u go to Active Provost Comapny(APC) u need to fulfill certain criteria b4 u get to stay out.

Well quite true...in APC u need to pass your Orientation drills to stay out...that is, AR15 drills. It 's not as tough as last time, but still tough. But once after all your training phase, life wil be much better...i zzz all the way ever since last yr's NDP to my clearing of leave in Oct, then ORD.Originally posted by yuehsiang:Not necessary immediately is 8-5. depends on which company u go to... if u go to Active Provost Comapny(APC) u need to fulfill certain criteria b4 u get to stay out.
