eh guys , ask u all hor me thursday go medical check up. i saw the Ear one i was graded E1L9 with excused from..dunno what..casue their words hard to read..they write so small. then it was accompany by a stamp of

so means if my Ear is graded E liao..then more or less my final pes status will be E also? right now i am still D leh
The MO who graded me was a second IC in Medical centre.... -

there are far more greater challenges in live that all of us must go through. and NS is one them. it's everyone responsibility to serve, many thousands of people have been through it. running away from responsibility is not the way out. if such a small thing like serving NS for 2 years u all aslo complain i seriously don't know how are u going to face tougher challengers in future.
don't take NS as a waste of time, take it as a learning experience, a period where u learn discipline and to be responsible person. one might have some downs every now and then but hey, that's life right? where got everything in life go as smoothly as u want it right? having the correct mindset is the most important. -

You said it, at the end of the day, it is your decision.
From my viewpoint, maybe you are still young. When you mature, you start to have regrets of what you should have done or shouldn't have done. (Maybe it is just me as I get oldder
)
I just hope you don't make any folly decision (especially things that could harm your health) that you might regret later on in life.
So whatever decision you make, I do hope you make the wise one and live with the consequences (be it good or bad). No regrets ya. -
Well,I got a few ways to improve morale of NSmen:
1)All servicemen must be paid regular working wages(Wages vary in terms of PES status and educational qualifications)
2)Servicemen get special privileges(e.g. bus crowded..no place to sit...NSmen of say (PES A,B,BP) flash saf card at someone who is sitting.If that someone isnt an NSmen of (PES A,B,BP) he/she must f**k off from that seat immediately.
3) all private sector companies must have at least have 60 per cent of working staff that have served NS before.Not doing this is against the enlistment act

Going through all the post
There are two distinct types of people in here
Type 1
A majority who hate NS but still goes through it and find that it's not as bad as its seems to be.
Type 2
Formed by Depressed and kin.... Support chao keng or wish to chao keng.
Their opinion is
1) No point doing NS
2) Waste of time
3) Pay too little
4) Must got special privilage
5) Chao keng = Clever/Smart (I rest, while ppl work)
Conclusion
Birds of the same feather flock togther
ps: Depressed - Since you have yet to enrol in NS, why not give it a try, you may like it. There is no harm trying out, but if you try to keng downgrade, you run the risk of being charge or injuring yourself. -

Sgt hates ppl who keng, as these kengster causes a lot of problem. You cant do guard duties, your share of guard duties have to be distribute to the rest of the company.
Do you think it is fair to do that, when your friends are the one who ciong and do guard duites for you???

More like i heard many ppl calling Singapore a mere dot,an ant which they can crush easily...whats there to be vocal abt?Singapore dont have any natural resources...if other ppl not happy they launch trade embargos/pull out their MNCs and their companies we all die liao lar.

Not true at all! when I was working I work very hard and finish ahead of what i had to do on time..I even help some slackers do their work ...Company pay me regular wages,dont treat me like slave..Result:Motivation to work.When I work in factory I do OT almost everyday till 8.30 pm..even sunday also work...oh did i even mention the main factory workers all consist of female malaysian workers where the line leader take pleasure to scold the temporary singaporean workers everyday??

Most people who are not so "seow-on", are mostly those from well-to-do families.Their attitude towards life has never been forged through adversity, therefore, they look for the easy way out.I do that sometimes, but at least I woken up in time to realise that the corporate world is a b.itch and no softies are welcome beyond the receptionist's table.
There are two kinds of people in the world.Those that work smart and those that never work.Working smart is about being professional, but not being silly enough to carry all the burden by yourself."Keng but don't let others suffer because of it".This philosophy is something I like.Then there's people who refuse to work in a team, and others have to pack up after him/her, simply because the retard does not understand the terms "responsibility and group dynamics".You are not more "tua kee" than the rest, so put in your part and at least, play it.
Just my two cents worth.It's your right to "chao keng" and I agree that NS is something we all hate because it wastes 2/2.5 yrs of our lives.But if you learn something out of it eventually, be in expected or unexpected ways, at least the pain is assuaged. -
What do u mean by not doing guard duties.. I used to do admin orderlies duties.. they are like 6-7 a month and I always do them.. I don't go n report sick and get my friends to do for me... but just because I am holding some rank, they promoted me to guard 2 regardless of my excuses.. it not like I want the rank.... and I don't pushed work to others.. others pushed their work to me... and I always do them... because I don't want to be held responsible for work that is not complete.. does not mean I hate NS means that I don't do my work... you all are not in my camp, you have no rights to say I don't do my fair share of work.. when I want to downgrade, it is just because I don't want to take IPPT, don't want to go for range, chemical defence, morning runs and no reservist.... but I do my fair share of work.. in fact more work... Regulars r f up.. what can I do when in the army.. rank is everything... I completed my fair share of work.. not with pride but just feel responsible that I must complete it...... but many times, I asked myself why I am doing all these.... no point at all... complete waste of my time... I could have used the time to go study and start a career......... ARMY - COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.... -
