  that was in the past when singapore still wasn't hit by myopia crisis. currently they enlist people with vision correctable to 20/20 or 6/6 (can't recall which one) into CDO. If your myopic and u don't have any major problems etc, you can be posted to CDO. You will be called up for a screening where u have to do chinups and run etc to allow the ppl from CDO to evaluate your fitness and mental appttiude further.
  
  My fren wear glasses and he got into CDO back in 2001.

  i got 50 degree asmatigsm for left eye..and 25 for right eye...both eyes 25 degree myopia....can be commando??

  Now it is easier to enter cdo as long as in the interview, u say u want to join. I was called up for selection this yr. Friend PES B also kenna enlist liao. THe test if u fail also can enter as long as willing. Another friend 300 degrees one eye also can enter. So basically if u willing can enter

  thats right..basically its just mind over body , as long your willing, you will do just find in CDO.

  acutally u go for the VA most probably u will be enlisted .. doesnt matter if u say yes or no.. hahaha n the test results doesnt really matters even if u r a zero fighter.. many will be 'filtered' out during the trainee phase

  For commandos I am not very sure but for NDU you might not get in even if you go into the VA.

  btw commandos finally got to sleep on king koil beds. no more double decker beds and sleeping on that rectangular piece of sponge.
