Old Camps in Singapore

  hi, let turn the spotlight now onto the various old SAF camps of singapore. which camps that u have visited that are very old and have interesting things worth mentioning. share with us here.

  amoy quee camp.
  
  sponge beds, metal cupboards, cement floors, the works.
  
  one can easily guess how old the place is.

  Does Jalan Teck Whye Camp count as a old camp ?
  
  remember during NCC days used to go there for Part A, Part B and Part C camps and the stupid area cleaning and unclogging of drains ...

  Simon Rd camp become one big open grassy patch.

  How about Selarang, Seletar (Engineers and SOL...) and Khatib?

  Used to be 1st tpt btln, they moved to a newer camp, then they torn down the old camp and its now just a grassy patch.

  Keat Hong Camp - formerly was General Equipment Base (GEB), then changed name to General Supply Base (GSB), finally taken over by civilian contractor. Part of camp was used by School of Transport for training as well.
  
  Ulu Pandan Camp - formerly Provost Unit, now taken over by Singapore Police(?)

  Amoy Quee is one helluva old old camp... the canteen!

  The former SMM Camp is known as Ulu Pandan Camp, which was beside it..

  Ulu Pandan Camp.... It was the former site of SMM. I should know, because I was the last batch of medic trainees to have ever trained there.
  
  Unfortunately, this also meant that I had to do three days of non-stop sai kang when the time came to shift to Nee Soon camp in the middle of my course.
