well me heard from a friend tt it is the finest outfit in the saf....dun noe much...and he said in this unit can earn a lot by going overseas....is it true...can smone elaborate abt the unit?

ADF is a regular only unit.

after the regular soldiers' tour of duty in the ADF if he had chosen to go there.....
onli men arent able to extend their contract with the SAF?....onli specs and officers are able to be transferred to other units after their tour in ADF????? -
i think adf is the only unit with regular men

as for the rest, adf would be just another tour in their career, so yes, they would get posted to some other units after their tour. -

from what i hear, they test new combat equipment the DSTA throws at them...new infantry fighting doctrines...and of course peacekeeping ops... they are now formally known as 1st Battalion ADF, each of their companies were previously based at diff camps...IE Spear Coy at Amoy quee...but they have since regrouped...shows they are here to stay? LOL..

Some ADF men convert to specialist after like 5 years as enlisted. Just see the passing out parade in ASLC and you can see few sand bag beret or green beret with 7 SIB backing around you will know they're from ADF men. Imagine as a section instructor you have to teach navigation to men who already went through JCC. A bit odd to me.
