think it easier for you to call them by ...e.g. Staff Wong, Master Chin, etc....
so you dun just say, yes! Master!..ahahah
but Yes! Master Chin!

my unit staff and master sergeants can be Duty Officers, the come down guardhouse see see look look give staff parade that one. (some of them can be very garang.
). bit werid considering technically they are not officers at all, at least not yet. -

brown for rsm, black for csm Anyway I just all called of them enciks hahha, esp when u are a men or a perm staff

i had us navy sailors as rugby team mates b4.. and they called their pettys mister...
junior officers they call them ensign if they are ensign...but simply as sir.......
but who are we to comment on their military rank calling structures...if they find no fault in it......we shouldnt be the ones getting so uptight... -
Personally, I don't really feel anything when I call that person Master (Name), or Staff (Name). Initially it was awkward, but now I'm so used to it that it has become quite natural to just call a MSG, Master (Name).

Gold, some may see it as yellow or brown...(The RSM's stick)
Black, some may see it as dark brown...(The CSM's stick)...

The correct way to address them is....
staff Sgt as staff
master as Sir
The reason is firstly in most cases, most master sgt will be promoted to warrant officers within a year time. second being that you do not address others as though you are a slave by calling them master.
Cpl used to be the rank of NCOs or what that is known as specialist. However due to the new type of rank classification that was introduce during the 1990s the rank was moved to 3rd sgt was the section commander and rank cpl and below as section man -
