True...at 1st even b4 i enlist into BMT...i condemned NS alot...but soon after half way thru BMT...i realised that it's not that bad afterall...in fact...most of my plat.mates n i wanted to serve our remaining NS in Tekong than to POP...becoz we've used to the life there liaoz...all bros...especially the smokers....Originally posted by nowhere:Those who find NS as bad are those who didnt learn to like it

Looking back in retrospect, it was all good, both the happy times and the lousy times. You take away something from every experience. Kinda miss Tekong...
But would i want to go through NS again? Hell NO! Once is enough.

to me, the only thing bad about NS is that your life is on hold for that 2+ years.
despite that i don't hate ns. consider it a necessary evil.
to compensate, i'm spending these 2+ years working hard on my own skills, to prepare for life after NS. everyone else around me is just slacking and rotting this 2 years away, even those that're going to U. -

although that time BMT booking in sucks. i kinda miss my BMT days, especially my section mates and all those fun time we spent laughing/joking around/chong suahing together. even time i look at my BMT family photo, it never fails to bring back all those memories.
and after slacking for the past 1.5 years in my unit, i really long to chong suah again, or to relive my BMT. -

What i miss the most is all my smoking buddies...unity's so strong among us...we, the smokers are always the fastest to change our uniform to smart4 or long4, n after we smoke for the 2nd cig, there're still some who're still changing...
Becoz most of our cig. are kept with our sgt, sometimes, in order to get cig. from him, he said muz let the smoking IC do 20push-ups..but we did togather...
Also, when one person did something wrong accidently n at the same time the sgt not in good mood..he knocked him down so many times that the whole plat. can't stand the scene that we all dropped to do push up with him togather until our PC also touched...n recovered us back...
Those were the days....once in a lifetime...in fact, throwing grenade may be something we get to once in a lifetime..but unity,bond n "brothership" are more valuable than throwing a grenade.. -
for me the only thing i hate about NS is the SOC other than that everything is okay.

Yah Thats what I thought, untill I met a MO and he described to me how slack it was inside camp. He told me every day so free just make racing bets with his frens and all that. Sounds interesting.
