isit those who haf acne problems.. get an excuse from sae skin centre, den u'll be excused from applying camou cream?
den if that's the case.. will be posted to non-combat side nxt time becos of excuse to apply camou cream?
Jus askin.. cos i haf acne problems and ish currently in consultation in the NSC.

mine is not very serious.. jus normal lidat. someppl more prone 2 pimples etc ba.

My platoon mate got it from the medical centre, from section commander upgrade to vehicle commander, more terok. hahahahaha

and in the end, other than the NSC specialist making it compulsory for you to get an excuse, you do have a choice whether to get such an excuse or not.
of course i am not telling you to forsake your complexion for the sake of applying camo cream. if it is genuinely serious, then ask for an excuse, and let NSC decide if the condition renders it necessary. -

Go to NSC and get Roaccutane. It treats acne very well. It's very expensive but if you're in NS, it's FREE!!
That's what I did in NS (must thank my doctor at NSC for the advise).
The whole treatment costs around S$2000

Just a word of caution, Roaccutane has been known to cause depression, so always always check with your medical practitioner before beginning the course of this treatment.

back to the main topic, if your acne problem (as described by you) is not very serious, there should be no cause for concern. Prolonged usage of camo cream i.e. going on EX for >10days may or may not increase your acne problem but nothing too serious or life threatening i guess. -

i hate it when we wake up in the morning and the first thing the sergeant says is... 'touch up your camo'
and we take out the lipsticks, and proceed to rub it over our already dirty faces. -
btw, for me the effects of camo cream was positive! while i still chionging sua and needed to put on camo cream, i didnt have much pimples. since i stopped using camo cream, pimples started coming back!

i think i had virtually no acne when i was in bmt. even though my face was dirty during training.
i think its the amount of water they made us drink. -
