i like jockey caps more than berets.
but i like peak cap best! peak cap with no. 4 rather matching too. yah.. during OCS pro term that time..
but cannot anyhow wear peak cap.
and i like my beret - the green infantry colour!

Hmmm...when do u Infantry Officers get ur peak cap in PT? After Lancer?
And what if you're chosen as colours ensign after commissioning?Do you just change the chin strap from leather to gold or do u trade in for another peak cap altogether?
I've seen many family photos (those taken in studios) which actually depict newly commissioned 2LTs in No. 1 still holding onto their cadet peak cap... -

some people like to cut cut out the black cloth inside the beret in a lazy attempt to soften the beret faster. i don't like it as it leave the beret super soft and fragile.

commissioned officers would be issued the appropriate peak caps when they draw their no. 1. if you are refering to someone at the commissioning parade, of course, there is no way to change on the spot when they are commissioned! so lan lan lor. -
