To me - NCC should not be wearing camo uniforms at all. It gives a wrong impression to foreigners. Good point. Esp since these kids tend to be extremely rowdy in public, while in uniform.. This reflects very badly on the quality and discipline of our soldiers, esp since not everyone can tell an NCC boy (esp the upper sec ones) from an SAF NSF.Originally posted by bcoy:To me - NCC should not be wearing camo uniforms at all. they are appointed AI during BMT and hey, sweat seh. they CMI lar.

NCC cadets are given too much credit for what they're worth.A few were condemned during my BMT days.We thoroughly hated their guts.Poseurs, most of them.

hm.. yah i think the NPCC uniforms are not allowed to be worn outside, possibly because there is no clear distinction between their uniforms and that of the police (are there?). hence they probably thought that since "NCC" is printed on the epaulettes of the NCC cadets, they can be allowed to wear their uniforms outside.Originally posted by cornyfish2000:Good point. But then white words on blue material is more obvious than black words on camo material leh... So why NCC so special no need change out uniform in when public.
Also heard NPCC got some rule about not being allowed to carry backpack when in uniform cos will cover the epaulettes. Might be for some other reason, but thats what I heard. -
The RSAF beret colours are similar to the Israeli air force ones. women's headdress
no3 one is the worse. its like the no1 type but that ugly shade of green that looks so bad. but its definitely a lot more comfy than the guy's no1 headdress peakcap.
i like jockey cap, i never tried jungle hat. somehow i notice berets look rather weird on girls unless their face v ery angular then super stylo. also u gotta have short hair or to bun it up, if not its impossible to wear a beret.
i prefer no headdress. alas the new chief made headdress compulsory now in camp.
on the tshirt issue, i admit that i use all my ocs for wear at home, runs, walking the dog, going to nearby hougang mall, for hawker centre dinner adn kopitiam lunch, go grandma house, go fren house play mahjong.
nothing wrong i feel, i dont behave like a maniac outside. just normal stufff i think. nothing to get worked up about. but i always get some idiot sneering at me wearing his airborne tshirt then making remarks loudly 'never go ocs wear what ocs tshirt'. but then i dont care, they are cheap and cooling.
but i dont wear it to orchard for sure. must dress up mah when go on dates... -
The navy beret is actually dark blue, same as support units except diff crest...
maybe some people wear the jungle hat with civvy cause they have, erm, too much pride in it? lol.. -
I personally tink those NCC cadets should wear PT kit or their PE attire when they fall out. actually i think there is 6 and 6.25 and 6.5 as well. just that they are quite hard to find. but still possible....
