i cut out the inside.....then make sure stretch the major part of it(the one slanting to the right..so it become softer)....then iron the line till razor sharp....then i leave it under my matress for a few days....tats wat i did....looks pretty sharp to me.....Originally posted by xeann:how to fold beret till swee swee

my dark blue beret relatively new (i would have stuck to my beloved green beret if not for my rsm... sigh..). been seasoning it for half a year but it still does not look very nice leh. and i fold it different to yours. so i wanna compare notes! -

I think Gordonator's method of folding with the crest facing front is more suitable for well-seasoned berets.
Well season beret, the very 'nua' kind, anyhow fold oso can, will still look nice when worn.
New berets should be folded in another way. Dunno how to describe it but the crest faces one side not front. -

Let me try step-by-step instructions:
1. hold the beret with crest facing your right.
2. close the 'mouth' (elastic part) of the beret, with the crest facing away from you. Now the 'mushroom top' is divided into 2 halves.
3. fold the half nearest to you inwards, over the closed 'mouth'.
4. fold the other half over the previously folded half.
5. place neatly folded beret under pillow when sleeping (or under any other heavy object) and let season.
After a week, you will have a beautifully seasoned beret that will be the envy of your peers.
