don't worry, not that i'm boasting, but my beret when worn is one of the nicest looking in the whole of my department.Originally posted by wuming78:but if u fold this way, it may not look swee swee when worn? can take picture show how the beret looks like when worn? can edit away the face lah...![]()
thank you. when i was recruit, i always admire the way my PC and sgts who fold their beret this way.Originally posted by xeann:Gordonator : fold his beret like this put on shoulder nice . show the crest![]()
i still fold it sideways. so when i wear the beret on my shoulder (anyway i rarely get the chance to do that!) i would have the beret face up.Originally posted by Gordonator:thank you. when i was recruit, i always admire the way my PC and sgts who fold their beret this way.
if u fold the sideway method, not very nice when put on shoulder, cos it will lie flat and cannot see the crest. but all this depends on different people's preferences lah.![]()
the beret looks best when worn about 2 fingers above your eyebrows. the crest should be at the left forehead directly above the left eye. the tip at the right side of the beret should be able to touch the right ear.Originally posted by kwlee:more tips anyone ?
and the beret should be straight when worn, not slanted, esp when viewed from the back.Originally posted by Gordonator:the beret looks best when worn about 2 fingers above your eyebrows. the crest should be at the left forehead directly above the left eye. the tip at the right side of the beret should be able to touch the right ear.
nay. it's seasoned, that's why can touch right ear.Originally posted by wuming78:able to touch right ear! that means the beret must be rather big leh, or your ears rather pointed.![]()

i know the hat, cos i have it too. but that's the first time i see a similar version for the cap!Originally posted by Joshua1975:that was not issued by the SAF, so does the hat.![]()
Actually the backing is for members of 7SIB, including non-guards vocation.Originally posted by Joshua1975:I as NSman now not in the Guards family.
only those within the formation are allowed to put the backing.
That right. still have to pass the Guards IPPT.Originally posted by bcoy:Actually the backing is for members of 7SIB, including non-guards vocation.
All other guardsmen outside of 7SIB wear the khaki Guards beret without backing, and are still regarded part of the formation or Guards family. (we still have to pass Guards IPPT standards)
i should say that the green is too light and i just have 1 set of no.4 (very season) just nice for that. the green, black and brown match very well.Originally posted by Zooish:Too much black and brown, too little green.![]()
