And I heard it's the most hated vocation? Gulp...I didn't mean to enter MP...
BTW, I'm supposed to report this coming Monday morning...
why don't u just report to Mowbray Camp on monday and discover it for yourself. no point in us telling u what to expect bah bah bah and u end up having all kind of expectations.Originally posted by Alexander_Jude:Why? Man give me more details...I need information
hmmm... if i'm not wrong they had 2 different kinds of interviews during BMT for prospective MP recruits right? And depending on which one u were sent for during BMT u'll get an idea which subunit u'll be going for, i think.Originally posted by Alexander_Jude:Well, thanks for that bit of information. About the sub-units in MP...have they already been decided at the time of posting, or is there a sort of "common" training phase where they pick people out?
And, anybody knows how many weeks is the MP training? Thanks!
So did you enter MP? I'm assuming not...well...they say MP is under PROVOS or something like that...but my posting order said SAFPU?Originally posted by cornyfish2000:hmmm... if i'm not wrong they had 2 different kinds of interviews during BMT for prospective MP recruits right? I remember going for an interview with 2 WOs in civvies who asked me all sorts of wierd questions while some of my other platoon mates went for another interview with uniformed MP specs measuring their gait and assessing their drills etc.
Heh, maybe a current or ex-MP can confirm this.
Oh no, i wasn't posted to become an MP in the end.Originally posted by Alexander_Jude:So did you enter MP? I'm assuming not...well...they say MP is under PROVOS or something like that...but my posting order said SAFPU?

1. You are posted to SAFPU.Originally posted by Drain-V-:Mowbray was my time...SAFPU has a new camp and is now in Kranji(Pioneer Magazine, which i am still receiving to date...)...
Mowbray camp is now Police KINS camp..
It really sounds strange but the Mowbray I know (SIB, SOP etc etc) was converted into a Police Camp...(I occassionally pass by there when I take bus from Clementi to School)Originally posted by Alexander_Jude:1. You are posted to SAFPU.
2. Your vocation is MILITARY POLICEMAN.
3. Your are to report to: Mowbray Camp, GUARD RM.
Huh? But it says SAFPU...but I still report to Mowbray?
154, 151 leads u to Clementi (where the old Mowbray is)...Is there a camp in Paya Lebar??I dunno...Hmm...just check from the URL i provided where the NEW mowbray camp is..Originally posted by Alexander_Jude:154, 151...I think you're talking about the camp at Paya Lebar...heard there's one there...confused already
BTW, if MPs get posted to SAFPU...why do people use the term PROVOST? And someone said it was synonymous with MP...how come? What does it abbreviate for?
Camp in Paya Lebar? Dun think there's any army camp in paya lebar, Guillemard Camp which was once occupied by 1 SIR has been abandoned already.Originally posted by Alexander_Jude:154, 151...I think you're talking about the camp at Paya Lebar...heard there's one there...confused already

u want to test the system is it?Originally posted by Alexander_Jude:Hmmm...so can anybody tell me if tinted glasses are allowed?
Originally posted by Alexander_Jude:so kind of the sgts and officers....
I went for the one where they looked at my face, check my height, gait and stuff...that's probably for precision drill right? Sianz...
Anyway, does SAF allow NSF to wear tinted glasses? I'm not too sure...in BMT I could wear it but I've heard that it's actually not allowed and that my sergeants/officers in BMT shut one eye because we were only recruits...
