Military Police...any thing to get me prepared?

From what i understand from a friend who was an MP from '01 to '03, MP training is very slack, with only basic fire and movement drills and these are done in the basketball court (dunno if it's still like that). One final question...what's the highest rank an NSF MP can attain? And usually, how long will it take and if there is a special requirement?

But these are infantry-trained officers who subsequently got posted to SAFPU.
Similarly, specs are SISPEC-trained guys..
I think for MPs who go in direct from BMTC => CPL -
usually how many recruits are there per intake into MP?

Hmmm...another question...if I were to enter MP direct from BMT...is there a way to get 3SG rank as an NSF. Will there be any chance to express interest to go to SISPEC for BSLC/ASLC?
And as for intake...the warrant officer giving the introductory speech at BMT before the interviews said they take in 100 to 200 every batch I think...
Oh ya...probably a stupid question but I'm still a greenhorn to army stuff...are MP's considered combat? Do they get $100 more? -
All questions answered...MP seems so slack...first day and I already got a canteen break...and a nights out!!!
At home slacking now...I stay at choa chu kang...so it's so near the camp...hehex...feeling that it's a great vocation for slacking, and our platoon sergeant told us 80% of the 9 week course are lectures...muahahax... -
Oh ya...4got to add that I'm glad I'm not in SPDS...was not part of the lucky 120 cuz I was too tall...180cm
