Guys, i have serious rashes on my neck because most of the time when i sweat, the area there will be very itchy then i will scratch till very jia lat.. do u think i might have a chance to downgrade. By the way i just got posted to my unit. thanks please help. I also had skin sensivitive since young, but i often go to a family clinic near my house, i believe they have my medical history on my next over there. Thanks

visit polyclinic, try ur best to get a referral to national skin centre, or referral to any govt. hospital's Dermatology specialist clinic for consultation, and there u request for a specialist letter to show camp mo for consideration to put up ur case for medical board. just show 11b, saf pay...
remember... all these things + the referral waiting time takes time... so plan now for a chance for a medical board schedule for u in a couple of months time... timeline.... -
hi, i jus found this thread and i have this question i have been to the specialist and he diagnosed me with bilateral chondromalacia patella and the mo has recommanded me to the medical board for down pes i was wondering...
anyone got recommanded by the mo to medical board for down pes but failed?
i have the specialist diagnosis of the problem. -
oh ya another thing is if down.. will it probably be a temp or a permanent down since i had highlighted that i had this problem as a child and has always persisted when i do any PE excercise in school and the mo has included in the letter of recommandation.. anyone?

i have the specialist diagnosis of the problem.
but depending on degree of conditon. e.g. recommanded pes :c9l3, yet pes approved in the end : c2l2.
but of cos there r cases where pes remain unchanged:
1. not enough information providing in supporting documents.
2. the medical board chairman (MAJ) has the final say/veto to each case with 2 other NSF CPT doctors in any typical medical board meets, except those held in MMI where the chairman is a LTC.

mmm alright thansk alot! so i guess in the end.. i still have to keep waiting till i see the final result.. coz the next medical review is a mth away and i'm stuck till then and always wondering if i will get temp or permanent or even get my down.. which doesn't feel good at all waiting and staying on status all the way

i jsut thought of another 2 question for all seniors here,
if i temp down pes and go off to another non combat vocation then when i go for review and my pes statues goes up again do i 100% go back to my previous vocation or is there chances they might post you to another different vocation?
another question is if i down to c2L1 isn't that the same as chiong sua vocation? i mean i was reading the stuff that L1 does, means they can still go chiong and everything but then we already have injury right? then how to chiong..

I a NSF right now. Jus found out tt i been diag to have beta thalassemia minor.
I seen the MO in Tekong just b4 i pass out. He asked me to see my new unit MO for a down grade with my reports. So for my this medical condition, is it a confirmed downgrade? Thanks. -

temp downgrade dont get u a new vocation at all... u will still stick with ur coy within ur unit... e.g. combat man temp 3 months will temp attach to the coy hq or hq battalion for some other work... e.g. admin assistant... and all that...Originally posted by FirMaMent:i jsut thought of another 2 question for all seniors here,

c2 defines the degree of the medical condition, while l1 is e deployment code. l1 still means u can still be send to frontline direct combat... pls read the very 1st page of the thread to understand in depth...
e.g. a c2l2 signaller is under hq battalion estab. and operates at hq level normally. but if there is a need to send him to field, he will go to the combat zone defined as the secondary "safe" combat zone, as the direct combat frontline zone is further away... -

have been reading page 1 thread but don't really understand it fully but after you explain i just need to clarify, that if for eg i am c2l2 signaller ehe might still be sent to the field but he won't be in the direct front line but c2l1 means that he still can go direct frontline and chiong with the rest right?

hmm my medical check up with be on the 21st of Jan.
Basically, I got severe sweaty palms when I'm nervous or very excited (hereditary).
Also, I got severe myopia (deg around 1350/1300) each eyes with astigmatism of around (250/300). Other then that, I'm quite skinny and should be quite okay if I start training now.
At night, my vision/visibility is not that good cause maybe I have abit of night blindness (not confirmed/diagnosed).
I should declare all of the above right :0? -

got any doctors' memos, notes, reports, x-ray, test results, past hospitaliation reports... ALL bring to show cmpb doctor...
for severe sweaty palms, if medically noted, will excuse u from hand generade throwing during bmt.
for severe myopia, in addition, bring any optimetrist notes.
for night blindness, u r lacking vitamin A... eat more... it aids in night blindness. -

It has been a long while since I saw any doctor regarding any of this problem.
For the optometrist notes, I think most probably I can get it from my regular optometrist. For sweaty palms however, my mom has it and yeah she say it will cease when I'm older. Not sure how true this is because some of my friends 20+ also have bad sweaty palms.
Forget to ask, what do you think my pes status will be? I'm still a freshie for army stuffs

i have hatch back problem and feel a lil pain when i sit or stand too long. am currently at sispec pes A, how high are the chances of me down pes if i report this matter to the mo? what are the process do i have to go through during?
and also if i am still certified fit to continue training after all the scans, will i be targeted by the instructors?
