just asking.. i've hypothyroidism and am graded c1l2.. i've done a blood test recently and it shows that i've to change my dosage.. do i have to tell anyone or what?

Several issues i wish to enquire about.
Few more months and i'll be into year 2 of my poly education.
Is it possible for me to inform my school regarding my deferment of my final year of the poly education now so that mindef will be notified?
Can i ask for deferment of my final year poly even though my second year will be completed next year?
And if i'm able to defer,will mindef send me a medical check up this year?
if so,how long will i have to wait for enlistment after i finish my second year?
Will my quaification be considered as diploma and can i still be promoted to ocs?
Regarding night duty,can one fight for sentry or does everybody have to do night duty? -

no need to do anything.... mindef information system will know when u r grad from poly... the poly information system will auto update the mindef.
u can stay in poly for the max. national limit of 5 years cos of repeat semesters without doing anything for mindef.
the mindef will send u the e-online registration notification in ur final year, in it there will be a userid n password for u to register at www.ns.sg under the pre-enlistee tab.
entry to ocs/sispec is not auto, its based on ur own merit and performance assessed by the platoon commander during bmt. even u r a jc/poly grad, u can be just another enlistee rank. eg. private, lcp, cpl.
jc/poly grads will enter tekong for bmt, where most other non-tertiary educated will mostly go for the direct unit mono-intake. -

If you deferred in your first year, you need not defer again until u finish. You will get your medical checkup form by then.
However if you defer school to join NS, which i think is stupid. You will be regard as O-level qualification. And no chance go OCS.
Night duty you so enthu for what? everyone have the chance.

Ok, i'm temp C2l2 for 3 months which ends in 26th Jan.
And i got posted to the Air Force as a servicemen. If i do get upgraded back to Pes A/B, will they revocate me? Or do i just carry on with my normal life except that i have to do Ippt this time round.
Or also will they call me back for a BMT recourse? -

dun think will revocate u... if back to pes a/b, may assign operational combat duties within ur airbase.
just take a wait and see approach. -

after 2 yrs in the ns, u might not have the fighting spirit to study the final year. in that case, u r no difference from poly halfway dropout... neither here nor there. ns is only 2 yrs, the education part may considered u as diploma for only that 2 yrs... when u r out, what's there?
and ocs/sispec, not all going tekong bmt will auto be in either one... still got selection process... e.g. 15% go ocs, 35% sispec, 50% vocational course and then to unit.
and with the modules changing every academic batch intake, even the present batch course modules are 30% different from what my batch's course modules were.
plsss.... guard duties are involuntarily given rotationally... select is not the word to be used... prowler/sentry is like draw lots, and do u tink sentry post u r the only 1 wanting that stationery position...... at most, u can only swap duties 1-for-1 day with another guy, or buy/sell in the 'black market'. -

if i am mild obese enter Ptp i nvr go field camp or take soc. ippt very weak can only do 1 chin up. can i still POP? actually i can do 6 but the other 5 chin ups all cheating swing and kick

field camp and range would be enough to guarantee you a pass in bmt.
but i think they might still let you pass though. -
i ippt ok except the chin up might be my downfall so the remaining 5 i swing my body up. hope PTI dont notice. i dont like field camp very dirty n muddy i fall out go see MO he give me excuse cos of my back problem but actually my back problem is mild issue. so i help with the rations outfield. then they send me go 4 back massage go gym exercise my back then lie down put stone i think.Originally posted by stellazio:why didn't u go field camp?

its ok to return to unit and not do the exercises, but for my company some people just have to attend lectures and they'll give you passing grades.

my plt sgt threaten us say if we fail soc we have to come back during the leave before posting to unit. n honestly i run with pt kit want to die what more soc run with full battle order and negotiate the stupid obstacles. i already missed getting more leave cos i failed 2 ippt attempts my buddy book out official bmt come back but me stuck in this stupid place and have to go gym somemore stupid ptp.Originally posted by stellazio:soc no need pass la. just attend and attempt. -
