in addition, my specialist wrote a letter advising the MO to revocate me but i never submitted the letter because i had no intention of revocating becaused i really loved my platoon mates in there. but due to recent develppments, im regretting that decision. so id also like to ask, if its an offense that i did not submit the letter from my specialist when i got it and whether i can still submit that letter now. (i got that letter about a month ago)
it's not an offence... it's never too late to submit the specialist memo to the camp MO. it's still a recent memo.
u r high % to be granted temporary excuse sunlight, sweat, physical activities...etc, in any combination depending on the memo; also, meanwhile u should ask the MO in a polite manner for a consideration to case pending u for a medical board.
thanks vvery much for the prompt reply. might i also ask how long does the average case take before the medical board actually sees the "patient".cuz ill probably be confined every week till then >.< once i show the letter to the MO by my company
and do u mean that i might actually get to downpes given my condition? im currently pes B.
And also, my unit has an overseas exercise just after chinese new year, will the status granted to me by the MO cause me to miss the exercise?

if u go see MO this month, typically ur case pending will be scheduled for next month's medical board, since routine medical board at formation level is usually held in a day, once every month.
yes, it's a probable medical condition for reassessment of PES, in addition to some permanent excuses added to the PES. it depends on what's written on the specialist memo.
once u got the official medical board MC days after the medical board meet, u just show the MC to ur PC, if not OC to take u out of the nominal roll for the exercise.
I read in another forum about one C9L2 medic who reported that his reservist unit posted him to frontline, as the Medical Officer says L2 is fit to carry firearms. The medic also reported that he heard rumors that L9 has been changed recently to allow carry of firearms and be deployable (But to where is unknown). The only L9 combinations that I know so far are C2L9 C9L9 E1L9 and E9L9. If it is confirmed that L9 can carry firearms and be deployable, that means there is not much difference between PES C2 and C9 and PES E1 and PES E9, as all can carry firearms and be deployable (But to where is unknown). Can any one confirm that L9 has been changed to allow carry of firearms and does this change apply to C2 C9 E1 E9 or only to C2 and C9 only ? Meaning there is difference between C2L9 C9L9 and E1L9 and E9L9? If there is no difference what about PES E recruits who are not trained to carry firearms yet allowed to carry firearms and be deployable as PES E1L9/E9L9 ?

PES combinations: refer to the very 1st page of this topic thread.
no official news from Mindef... so unable to comment.
===============================================
L1 - Fit for field duties including front-line combat arms duties. e.g. combat 'hot' zone. Able to bear arms.
L2 - Fit for field duties, but only in Unit HQ or rear areas. e.g. combat 'safe' zone. Able to bear arms.
L3 - Fit for operational duties at HQ / Camp / Bases only. Not fit for field duties/ exercises.
L9 - Suitable for peacetime sedentary duties at Bases. Not fit for operational duties even in Bases.
wizzylash, how come your unit tortures status personnel? i thought nowadays should be better already.

PES E peeps are not even trained to handle firearms and there's no reservist for them

Hi EAC(moderator),
My younger brother, just went for his pre enlistment medical check-up for NS. His PES is PES C2..Im not sure L what..have to clarify with him again, since he just told me over the phone. I would like to check if there was any HIV tests involved during the medical check-up and if so, what PES would a HIV positive men get? Because i read somewhere that an hiv test could be opt out by the person taking the medical check-up..
Im worried sick. As my brother is quite fit as a person and i just dont understand why he got PES C..Like got some hidden disease we dnt knw about..The only thing i know is that he was in a motorcycle accident earlier this year and he hurt his leg(alot of scars) but he seems ok after that..My mother and I are really worried as he's not that close to us(he goes out alot, and he stays with my dad, who's more close to his new family)..and we want to make sure he's fine, especially now he's going into the army..even if he's not,we want to be there for him..
Please clarify the HIV test thing..
1)Were the boys put through HIV tests during the check-up
2)Did they have a choice to opt out of that test?
3)If tested positive for HIV,which PES would they be posted to?
Im worried sick..Pls help..

1/2) compulsory blood test. the opt out is for public hospitals.
3) counselling + pes f.
yes, the pes C status is most likely due to the RTA... might due to recovering fractures.
Thanks alot..that really helped..

My company especially.. take status sat will get confined / late book out.. and get treated like shit. block leave also dont have.. i also dont know why like that. i thought after the mmultiple deaths this year, status personnel will b treated seriously. i guess in my unit they think everyone is trying to chao keng la. the bloody MO also.. i sick like hell go in he look at me 30 secs finish already. to thikn that theses people are going to treat the public in future scares me
Check with u all ah
i went cmpb for pre-enlist check up in sep.
everything pes A except i got high blood pressure.
they pes D me and me went back total 3 times retake and + 24 hours monitoring.
i can see myself is still borderline or moderate high and that MO actually gave me pes A and he spurt out "your bp is perfectly fine" without even looking at me and ask me go out..
my heart rate and bp readings very funny, i suspect he think i just want to keng and make my readings funny at home myself don even think the MOs at cmpb are trained well
so i got a perm A now.. im thinking to go polyclinic then get referred to specialist and see whether really normal or no. if not i think better for me to get a downgrade, don dare play play..
thinking of doing it fast before they send me enlistment letter..
should be ok right? can just go in polyclinic and ask them check my bp?
edit : shit i think this post shud be in medical faqs i juz saw it .. but eac help pls

hey eac i got my referral letter to NHC. it's in may.
should i call up mindef and tell them i have upcoming appointment and don't enlist me yet?
will it work by just saying over the phone?
or i wait till i get enlistment letter then inform them?
or is it a must to show them the physical referral letter meaning i need to go down cmpb?
after visit to specialist and if i do get a memo or letter and i go back to cmpb, how long more to finalise my enlistment? i probably going in mono. nt sure when is the available enlistment dates

call the number listed above for an official and direct answer.
most likely, cmpb will ask u to fax over the memo, which is sufficient.

Hi all,
I'm on PES C2L2, perm excuse RMJ for knee injury. A few days back, I went for my specialist appointment. My doc wrote a memo for me, saying excuse lower limb activities for 3 months.
May i know whats the diff between excuse lower limb and excuse rmj? Same right..
