anyway my sense is the guard is more ceremonial, rather than an actual guard. he wont be very effective as a guard in no. 1, without extra magazines (assuming there is something in his magazine in the first place), no bayonet, etc...

I dun think they have rounds. Anyway even if they have, i think according to ROE, they have no authority to discharge rounds in a public area (can anyone confirm this?).
