What are the things u cant do when wearing No.4 in public?

1.)Can go orchard in no.4?
-People gave my friend a very curious look when he wore that to orchard cause he need to meet someone urgently after he went to camp and did not have civilian clothes with him.
2.)Cannot hold girlfriend hands in public?
3.)Must i greet an officer if i see him in public provided that i am also in No.4?

i wanted to go to a pub after my reservist thing on thursday but was told i cannot..

For #2, No.It's illegal.
For #3, Hmm.By right , yes.But why would you want to greet him out of camp?Sounds weird right?But perhaps if you are not very sure, just give him a simple "Hi, Sir" will do.But try not to embarass him

hm.. the regulation says that one is not to don the uniform unless on official business. of course the case can be made for travelling between work and home. so i guess going to orchard road can be considered a grey area, which means ok as long as you dont do anything funny.Originally posted by poor clt:1.)Can go orchard in no.4?

as for greeting, well, by right you should, as long as the officer is also in uniform, meaning you can clearly see his rank, since it is stated that due respect should be given to commissioned officers, with no mention of place or time. but of course, the officer would and should be able to understand the circumstances.
in any case, i address my superiors as 'sir' even if i meet them outside and we are both in civilian. for that matter, i address my past superiors as that too, even though they may no longer be my superior! i simply feel awkward addressing them as something else!
there was once a cadet (based on my assessment) addressed me in public (though discreetly, when he went past me), because i happened to be wearing my ocs singlet as i went for a run! -

The last part was amusing..I got greeted "Sir" during my recourse days as I was jogging around the track at my own time while wearing my HQ MES singlet. -
