Grandslam is called Summary Exercise n it is held during BSLC term 1.Originally posted by 12qwaszx:how come only 2 outfield? more than that rite?....... Grandslam, Nutcracker
and also, BSLC got term 1 and term 2??????????
HmMM... My CO told us that BSLC is split into 2 terms. Term 1 which is 6 weeks whereby outstanding trainees can cross over to OCS. Term 2 starts after term1 and is 4 weeks. At the end of BSLC, trainees can also cross over to OCS.Originally posted by tetsumi:Grandslam is called Summary Exercise n it is held during BSLC term 1.
some trainees will cross over to OCS at the end of BSLC term 1 which is abt 6 - 7 weeks.
term 2 the only outfield camp is Nutcracker.
but there's Grandslam 2 for those who proceed on to ASLC.
dun need, but if you want to cross over from SISPEC is after graduating from BSLC.Originally posted by deathscythe99:Thought now must go thru SISPEC then can go OCS...?
yeah i think that's it,fuah i think do that one can die.still got JCC la,cos i think officers without JCC badge abit funny.hahahaOriginally posted by cornyfish2000:I believe by 'super jialat' SOC u were referring to the SAFTI Endurance Obstacle Course (SEOC). And anyway, i heard that JCC is scrapped liao in view of the SISPEC 6 week selection crap. Any current OCTs here can verify?
SISPEC crossovers usually join at the start of Service Term II (ST2), which is far from being even halfway thru your OCC..Originally posted by casshern:dun need, but if you want to cross over from SISPEC is after graduating from BSLC.
after that you super lao jiao in chionging.cos BSLC hardens you for the field.

no...Originally posted by casshern:oh ya about BSLC and ASLC
i think the 2 terms you mean is this 2.
OCs are officers.they know nuts about sispec lar
BSLC is 10 weeks i think?really forgot.but ASLC is longer because they go to Brunei.
You will only go ASLC if you posted for infantry or guards specialist.but for support arms you will carry on to the respective camps.go checkout the sticky topics by Gordonator. but in total you will get your 3SG rank in a yr. Snipers are faster i think.but more or less about the same as officers.
BSLC= Basic Section Leader Course (you earn ur CPL rank here)
ASLC= Advanced Section Leader Course (your parents would give you your well-deserved 3 stripes!)
for this year, the 2 batches of cadets commissioned up till now still got JCC plus the new combat skills badge. not sure for later batches though.Originally posted by wuming78:and yes i have heard of the rumour that cadets will no longer go for JCC too. any cadets can confirm?
