Jobs of officers after retirement

Since officers retired at around 45 years old, will there be any difficulties finding jobs outside since they have no experience in private sectors? And also what are the jobs that they will usually hold and is the pay comparable to what they will get as a regular?

they usually can apply for positions in govt boards..
warrants and officers.. though i think it's easier to get a job if you're commissioned.
Of course, the pay sucks, what do you expect

A lot end up in Singapore Technologies ! Plenty of majors and LTCs.
ST got a few military contracts, and most of these ex-SAF people are put back in charge of these contracts and to deal with their old colleagues in the SAF.
A very nice system ....

Well, as long as children do not lose their childhood an fun at the expense of such, its okay.Maybe they could impart values like perserverance, leaership, hmm, the ex-RSMs could become scout leaders too.

Some become taxi drivers.
dun need to listen to others instructions. After decades of giving orders, some of these officers just cannot revert back to taking orders liao, so they choose to drive taxi. -
some join MLM or sell insurance.

Dun bring the bad SAF officer ethics into the company (i.e. eye power, NATO, etc)
I have seen the how black sheeps can screw up a good system.

after retirement, can still sign on as DXO or something. for MAJ(RET) or LTC(RET) can be a CO of a CCO unit etc.

yup correct.
anyway, you may be wrong to say they dun get any working experience in working sector.
many officers (maj and above) after they retire from SAF, they can get a senior management post in major companies, schools, RIs, defence sector, manufacturing sector etc.
cuz, since they already command a batallion etc before, their management skills are good. and some more those officers (in order to normally become officer, at least A levels or degree holder)...e.g. engineering.
therefore since they got management skills and know engineering...etc..what do you expect? their years after retirement could just be as good. -
What they are given after retirement depends on their rank.
BGs and above are usually placed in senior/top management positions in GLCs and ministries. Our ex-CDF LG Lim Chuan Poh became the permanent secretary of MOE after retirement from SAF. His predecessor became a VP in SIA. The ex-CMC who was a BG retired and was given a Professorship in the Faculty of Medicine, NUS. Not bad eh?
Its the more junior officers who end up as school ops managers etc. -

Cut story short, in one of my previous job, the RSM from my NSF unit became one of the security supervisors looking after company security. Junior to me in the hierarchy. -

I did not know him well. I was a PS but my camp was big... Nee Soon. Did BOS duty and as usual , you get the morning brief from the RSM on what are the outstanding tasks for the day.
When I came back from my uni studies, it was 3 years since I left NS. From his perspective, he had probably seen many sgts. come and go. It took him sometime to kind of remember who I was.
