wat is an infantry emblem without the bayonetOriginally posted by BÃ¥seline:They could have do away that bayonet on top of the Panther. The design of the Panther looked great with that forging-ahead look. That alone will stood out without Bayonet.
Nice one.

not just infantry, all formations' logo also feature the bayonet, it's more of like a symbol of the army.Originally posted by Rockhound:wat is an infantry emblem without the bayonet

Beats me.Originally posted by Rockhound:wat is an infantry emblem without the bayonet
imo the presence of the bayonet would describe wat the divisions generally comprise of..and that is infantry soldiers...Originally posted by BÃ¥seline:Beats me.
Visually, it looked much better without it. Think the Panther as a logo, a brand. Less is more. Kinda like when u see a swoosh element, it reminds you of Nike. Three stripes, Adidas.
When u have a element like the bayonet, it disrupts the general look and identity. Ppl will say.. "hey that Panther.. looks great.. but that Bayonet.. isn't that similiar to other units?"
All in all, it looked great nevertheless.
U have ya technical point of view and I have my design point of u. Right?Originally posted by Rockhound:imo the presence of the bayonet would describe wat the divisions generally comprise of..and that is infantry soldiers...
yup....onli came across the bigger picture when gordonator said that other formations have the bayonet too..Originally posted by BÃ¥seline:U have ya technical point of view and I have my design point of u. Right?
i think some SIR unit is already using scorpion as a mascot. i seem it before but can't remember.Originally posted by Rockhound:if onli a division has a scorpion for a mascot...then Singapore got Brotherhood of NOD...lol

9 Div had their cohesion (? not sure if it was called that) day a few weeks back. I think their theme was "Spirit of the Bayonet" or something.Originally posted by BÃ¥seline:Beats me.
