Nope, COA (as well as CNV, CAF) have a Secretarial (i *think* that's what the S stands for) Advisor (SA) which holds a rank of CPT. And his primary job/role is to craft out COA's staff papers and generally has the duty of being an executive assistant. This appt is a staff appt but obviously has its advantages due to the exposure one receives as opposed to being a Staff Offr in a GS/SSSO/Div. SAs can be spotted by the golden lanyard worn on his #3, also known as his leash!
CDF's assistant has a MA (Military Advisor?) and his rank is generally an LTC. -

well.... me is driver in 9 div la.... i think the new logo looks fab! but tehy could have replaced the darn knife with something else though....
