I did hear from a reservist unit colleague who was a regular commando (but not with SOF), and partly corroborated by a SIA friend. The story was that one tango was cornered or hiding in a toilet. During the clearing ops , the team found a locked toilet. According to the cdo friend, the tango was challenged to surrender but decision was not to take chances. Remember, that the info that surrounded the hi-jack was that the tangos were armed with explosives. Who knows whether the last tango had the "trigger"?Originally posted by cornyfish2000:I'll take all these claims with a pinch of salt.. i suspect that most of it is just part of someone's special ops fantasy. I'm sure the SOF guys who were involved in the rescue would be far too disciplined to have leaked out details of their op like this.
the best is often the truth.Originally posted by snk86:lol, best version i have heard
note that the SOF guy quickly 'dropped' his MP-5, de-holstered his S&W .38 and used it to shoot the butterknife....all this happened while the butterknife is in midflight....this is called fast draw. he was the legendary guy who could deholster the arm and shoot it accurately....as told by LYPOriginally posted by LazerLordz:Best example of "Chinese Whispers".LOL
