Yah, i know, its quite good, but the thing is that we were not told of this until we had accumulated more than 30 days. And its not that we had wanted to accumulate and don't want to clear, its that my unit was forever short of manpower, so got very little chance to clear off.Originally posted by tErI-yAkI:At least not that bad.. In fact, that's very very very good already loh.
What I meant was roughly add up in 2.5 years about 40-50 days, not all clear at 1 go leh.
But to be able to clear 30 days in 1 straight is damn good.
It will never happen in my unit. We have to clear every month. So by the time ORD, we have no OFF at all.![]()

How do u accumulate?Originally posted by Zooish:Yah, i know, its quite good, but the thing is that we were not told of this until we had accumulated more than 30 days. In the end, off days started piling, CO thought it was too much, and cancelled away the excess.![]()

Armament Specialists perform repair of Small Arms, Heavy Arms or Turret Arms. They have to prepare FFI (Fit For Firing)certification and maintenance reports on the serviceability of the weapons they are supposed to repair.
Armament Specialists may be posted to individual units or be posted to Maintenance Bases where theywill do higher level repair jobs than those in the combat units.
Small Arms: Your basic assault rifles, MGs, pistols, anti-tank weapons, mortars etc..
Heavy Arms: Artilllery gun systems .
Turret Arms: Maintenance of turret-based weapons like the M242 Bushmaster 25mm gun, CIS40/50 turret(HMG and Grenade Launchers), OWS(Overhead weapon system, a Typhoon gun.)
That's about it..do note that regular Armament Specialists will be cross-trained in all the above mentioned.
