Correct.Originally posted by relackjack:actually my batch of infantry cadets (55/04) are the first batch of people who got the badge. it's pretty much a free frag batch. basically most of the things have been done in st1 and 2. we the support arms cadets only lack the 32km route match and FOFO.
so am i right to say that inf, gds and cdo cadets get the batch automatically on passing out, and do not need to go through a "course" (like JCC) to obtain it?Originally posted by relackjack:actually my batch of infantry cadets (55/04) are the first batch of people who got the badge. it's pretty much a free frag batch. basically most of the things have been done in st1 and 2. we the support arms cadets only lack the 32km route match and FOFO.
oh ok. wat i meant was they complete all the requirements for the badge over their entire OCC, as opposed to having them all within a short course, such as those who just received it had done?Originally posted by relackjack:it's not automatic. some (less than five) of my infantry friends didn't get, mainly due to range. one of them couldn't get as he couldn't even get silver for IPPT
modified? easier or harder? what's the normal "marksman" score ah?Originally posted by relackjack:for the cadets, they have a modified one... they need 25 out of 40 shots if i remembered correctly
25 out of 40! what kid of range are you talking about? and after what exercises before they do the shooting?Originally posted by relackjack:for the cadets, they have a modified one... they need 25 out of 40 shots if i remembered correctly
the range is just one of the many requirements to obtain the combat skills badge. and if the badge is a mark of one's proficiency in infantry skills, then marksmanship, though important, is still not a major factor. so im not surprised the criterion in this aspect is more relaxed than for the marksmanship award, which rewards proficiency in range specifically.Originally posted by fett:25 out of 40! what kid of range are you talking about? and after what exercises before they do the shooting?
i'm sorry but it sounds too easy (the shooting).
it's a SAR21 with laurel.Originally posted by fett:never see the badge before, any pic?
u must hit 80% out of the total shots.Originally posted by wuming78:modified? easier or harder? what's the normal "marksman" score ah?
no u cannot. as i said. marksman means u hit 80% which in this case is 32/40.Originally posted by StRiKeMaN:i noe 25/40 is da passing. does dat mean, we can put on da marksman bagde?![]()
thinks its because that it is easy that passing would be hard..Originally posted by Gordonator:shooting with SAR21 should be easy what?![]()
what do u mean?Originally posted by Rockhound:thinks its because that it is easy that passing would be hard..
Tell your fren LWFLEE on Sgforums say he should get his ass on the running track more often.Originally posted by relackjack:i am not a manoeuvre arm cadet so i also dunt really know. anyway sar21 cannnot shoot at 300m i heard. the scope effectively cover the entire target so they dunt really know how to aim.
they have moving targets but that was quite free frag. the hardest according to me friend is shotting after doing the run-down
