you know how they always drive so slowly, tonners go at 30-40.
but they have this emergency switch to remove so they can hit 100, but if they've been travelling at below 50 all this while, should the need ever arise for them to have to drive fast, will they be able to? -
for 5 tonners, they have a key to unlock.
for 3 tonners, land rovers, minibus, just step on the accelerator and ignore the beeping. -
Hmmm, come to think of it, I cannot think of a scenario where they need to go any faster.

i mean war time scenario lah.
only once did i experience a really good rover driver. he controlled his rpms really well, you don't feel any jerk or sudden loss of power when he changes gear, when going upslope, he doesn't get stuck midway, correct speed and rpm, 1 shot go up, no need keep on dropping gear like all the other drivers, brake also no so sudden and jerky, although sungei gedong road all like fuck one, but the journey still felt quite smooth.

maybe should let them clear carbon every once in a while, maybe once a month, or every fortnightly. and not just on straight roads, but twisties, or maybe even the playground at sungei gedong, ultimate test of skill. pass liao can go join WRC

driving slow with the swd beeping on and off is very tedious... and yes MID vehicles are the slowest on the expressway... i wonder what kind of image they wana project... slow and safe? haha.

the only MIDs car that are allowed to go beyond the 50km/hr speed limits are those 2 or 3 digits MID cars driven by COLs and above.

During my ICT way back in ROC 1994/1996, no SWD limit for SAF vehs. I ever drove a Land Rover at 120km/h and a Fiat 3 Tonner at 90km/h. But of course that ROC ex many many accidents. Now speed limit in ROC 50km/h loh. -

My unit, got 4 COs, all COL rank. All drive SAF car home. Opel, Ford do have SWD lah. I last year ICT kana tekan go wah their veh confirm have SWD. dunno y mid vehicles still hve 50km/h limit...i m referring to e minibus!! When Singapore already raised e speed limit of those vehicles to 60km/h liao.
last time went despatch, always c police minibus overtake us. even though their speed limit r 60km/h but 10km/h of difference nt so much as 2 c e police minibus disappeared after overtaking us. n those police bus r nt in emergency, confirm they r speeding liao!
n oh yes, diff MID minibus gt diff speed limit.. my unit got 3 of them, 1 started to beep when it reached 40km/h, e 2nd at 50km/h, n e 3rd e best only beep at 60km/h. I always request MTL to provide me with the 3rd minibus when possible n a good driver. Driver oso play an important part, sme drive really very scare 2 die type, switch lane still must roll dwn window n put hand outside to flag...n beep 3 times already slow dwn liao...those brave ones, beep 7-8 times than slow dwn...n oso a driver that knws e directions well very important, if nt u just will get lost n in e mini bus going in circles.
On regarding e cash card for ERP, still dunno who should provide. e dept who indent e minibus or MTL. In e end always both me n e driver share e cost. Cause e drivers said MTO told them is e people who indent must provide e cash card. n my dept head said no, MTL should provide everything when we indent, next time we must provide and pay the oil for them too?
