carabina (small)
short rope (used for rco)

jackknife
bigger diver torch
dummy magazines x 4 or 6
pacer
black tape, black string, spare black rubber bands, spare batts, lighter all in a small tupperware
half-gloves
camo cream
small mirror
toggle rope
a spool of erm.. forgot the name of that thick string
small poncho
some aide memoir in another tupperware
2 x std waterbottle
usually also carry another separate bag that contains my camelpak (3 litres)
2 x metal rings on the back of the sbo top strap for holding 732 antenna
tiger-eye sewn on the back vertical straps
4 x rubber bands also on the back vertical straps
i love my sbo! -
have both the 'bra' and 'corset' type of webbings.
include all SOP items (bino, compass, knife etc) and
i made it a point never to have food (other than SAF rations)
on my personal gear. not a good example for my men, i feel. -

sometimes we really lost track of the amount of 'trash' we lug
with us until we start counting them -

hey! i dont consider what i carry in my sbo as trash - they are all important and all useful. in fact i have to prioritise what can go in cos of the limited amount of space, esp during exercises when there are real magazines and other stuff to carry as well.Originally posted by fett:it's a wonder we can still run around with this load

2x rubber bands on both sides of the front of SBO
3x Rubber bands on both sides of the back straps of SBO (for comms set)
