Defence Executive Officers (DXOs)

As per requested, I've decided to post this here instead of Military Nuts..
Hey everyone...just wondering what kind of jobs are these? I saw the website and I'm kinda intrigued by what they actually do. I suppose they are considered NUSAF (Non-uniformed SAF) personnel? I do wonder if the pay is good or not leh...thinking of trying...any advice or knowledge of DXO out there? Much appreciated!

got to pass their tests first... they make it clear from the start that only shortlisted applicants will be notified and they are damn "tau" about it. lots of fresh grads go for it cos it sounds glam...
pay is normal civil service pay... amt will depend on your qualifications (what class degree, what honours, etc,) and experience.
the type of work is varied... it depends where they need pple and where u get posted.
in case you're wondering, no, i'm not in there... but it was one of my options when i was job hunting

signing on as DXO is just like signing on, except you're not

they ARE NUSAF personnel. so they can be employed to do a wide range of jobs, from clerks to executives and managers (just like what you can find in any organisation), and engineers, etc. basically administrative and technical functions in the military which do not have a compelling requirement for one to be in the uniformed service.Originally posted by Tango1:As per requested, I've decided to post this here instead of Military Nuts..

DXOs include Policy Analysts and people involved in staff roles within MINDEF tasked to chart the direction of the SAF.

1 of the advanatges of DXOs is no need to take IPPT in order for promotion.

Tried applying before but got rejected. Didn't even get to the psychometric test round. They seem to be quite secretive about their selection criteria
