Who knows about Guards Ops Duty???

  if someone tells u that it's classified, then dun ask any more. What is deemed classified, only released to authorised persons on "need to know" basis.

  Actually, i think he should provide more details to go with his qn. I have no idea what he wants to know. I would also not put too much faith in the email. Its probably just another lazy soldier who can't be bothered to deal with Recs/Civilians.

  If he wanted to know what they are doing on that poster, he should just ask his superiors..and anyway, that one is merely POI duty.Nothing classified about it..but if he was asking about the ADF practices..then it's drifting a little too close for comfort.

  Having re-read the thread title and his posts, i think i have managed to decipher his request. I think he is asking if a Guards unit might be tasked with OPs duty and if so what it involves.
  
  So my response to what might be his first qn is: I don't know, but i don't think so. This is because the SAF has formed a unit specially trained to do POI. Just search for the article in Cyberpioneer.
  
  My response to what might be his second qn: If you are tasked to do POI, you might find yourself conducting patrols, or static guarding.

  normal guards/infantry etc units will still do poi duty i guess until there is sufficent poi btn to cover poi (unlikely)

  What about other units like armour or artillery? Don't they also have their chance at POI? I remember seeing troops with black beret patrolling the departure lounge at CGA in the enws some time back.
