my SAFINCOS PL SGT(staff sgt)...commando/SOF....during my tour then have serveral ill-treatment cases again him still pending. Later did heard that he has to go Jalan Kayu(formerly IMH) for checkup every few months to certify he is in sound mind to continue his duty.
First thing he speak at the coy line parade sqaure: " Call me A DEVIL, i will make you regret coming into my platoon"...
...i just pass out from Nee Soon BMT leh....this RED beret eyes staring at you will make ur pant wets....... 
throughout the course, he will challenge anyone(disagree with him) to a duet each carry an assult weapon with 3 live bullets. He seems so confident that he will survived, no matter what.
at the end, he failed 4(i think) soliders from passing the courses. -

i found out that some senior officers actually use their photos of themseleves wearing no.4 for their driving licence.

They are the one and oni FINCOSPEC, 1st 10 weeks course. infact most of them are the 1st 10 weeks BMT follow by 10 weeks ACT than OCS or "FINCOSPEC". there is no BSLC follow by ASLC. posted back to unit. INF go some fam understudy and for the rest will be another 8 to 10 weeks vocation training.
and all this was in 1992. -
I don't whether this is garang or not...personally I think it is crazy but once we had an exercise and I went to look for the BCS with a light casualty. Found the BCS empty except for the MO2I/C and one signaller.
You know what? The crazy MOI/C with his entire BCS charge up the hill to capture objective...siow! -
