Alert Red is not an exercise (any regulars here care to correct?) nor, again, a tekan session. It is for real for the units involved. Meaning, if ANYTHING were to happen, that unit and units supporting it would have X hours to respond to that emergency, ie Hotel New World collapse. Alert Red is not a joke although it can be a bother to be always in No. 4 and your ‘wife’ is always arounf you -

Garang use to describe a person who is siao on, on the ball etc. will go the extra mile to ensure things get done correctly and will volunteer himself for things that normally other people don't wanna do.
example: GuardCom to Guard 2IC: "Die liao lah, heard today DO is very garang, difinately will give many turnout one tonight." -

wake up. to be on alert during a defend normally b4 day break or dust or after an arty bombardment.
STAND DOWN
ease down. after stand to all back to 1/3 alert and carry out the routine as plan or actions need to carry out. -
